Summerwear

I hope we have a few more warm days left this summer. I am not ready to pack up Emma's summerwear. It's so darn cute!

 

 

 

Trip to the Ballpark

Ian's parents were heavily involved with an international adult softball tournament in Kitchener. We checked out the park last Thursday but it was really chilly. This made me realize that her wardrobe is not fall weather ready!

 

On Saturday, the weather was chilly and rainy but we headed to the park to see some of the final games.

 

 

Emma had to wear a silly hat. Remember the movie Grumpy Old Men? When Jack Lemmon is heading to his ice shack and he passes the woman selling stuff from the back of her truck? "Heya Punky!" "Heeeeyy John!" Emma is totally Punky. :P

 

 

She briefly fell asleep in the stands before getting wrapped in Duncan's jacket. :)

 

 

 

 

TableTop Fun: Krosmaster Arena

I wanted a miniature game... this fit the bill!

Krosmaster: Arena is a player-vs-player, tactical card game with anime-style miniatures that offers the craftiest tacticians among you the chance to challenge other players to heated battles in arenas scattered around Hormonde.

 

I owned the first game only because I had a melee and healer combo. After that game, we banned the single healer and it became more competitive. It would be interesting if all three of us could have healers... (never ending game!)

 

Emma was hilarious for this one... :)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Emma - 5 Months Old

It's been a busy month!

Emma is a drool-a-potomus! She likes to blow raspberries, which results in a lot of drool. She can roll over both ways and get from tummy to back/back to tummy with ease. She's learned to spin on her stomach and "army crawl" to get to what she wants. The measurements are just approximate... official weigh in is next month. But I think she's growing like a weed and surprising us every day. She has the tiniest tuft of hair on top for me to get a bow into it. :)

The Bear Incident

Now that Emma's rolling around, if you look away she can take off. Put her at one end of the room and she will roll to the other side. We had a bear incident.

July Weather

It is August now but July's weather was a tad on the cold side. It was so chilly that even Ian and Emma (who roast) needed a blanket. (And yes, that was a very perilous position for Ian's coffee. :P)

 

 

Toad In The Hole

...or frog.. whatever... You know what I mean!

 

 

We had assumed at one point we would need to get nice covers for the window wells to keep out leaves but not frogs! Ian helped this big dude out and then a couple babies. They can hop in but not back out. :\

 

Emma's Super Power

She moves objects just using her mind... especially Daddy's phone.
