Here is Ian conspiring with Emma to convert her to a Patriots fan. Boooo.

Ball of Goo

Emma turns into a ball of goo when sleeping in her swing. :)

A silly ball of goo...

And after her nap... success!

TableTop Fun: Tsuro

We are backing our first Kickstarter game. It is called Among The Stars - it's 7 Wonders meets Alhambra. Can't wait for it to arrive in September! So for May's game we choose something that is on the lower end of the price scale... a pathing game called Tsuro.

From BoardGameGeek:

Tsuro has an Asian spiritual theme - the lines representing the "many roads that lead to divine wisdom", and the game as a whole representing "the classic quest for enlightenment".

This may make the game sound relaxing but it's really not. The object is to guide your dragon token on a series of path tiles, avoid running off the board or into other dragons and be the last one left. You end up saying "Can't go that way, that will kill me" a lot. I have yet to win. :P

Here is the obligatory Emma sitting on the game board picture...

Really Mom? More pictures?

Chased

I'm officially Canadian now... On Thursday, I got chased by a Canadian goose while walking with Emma in Victoria Park. There were geese sitting on nests everywhere and males guarding them. I did run away quickly... I think Emma enjoyed the increased pace. :P

Active Baby

I read a section of What To Expect - The First Year about challenging babies. I was surprised to read an exact description of Emma under "Active Baby". They usually get the label while in the womb because they kick and move constantly. That was almost my entire pregnancy! Active babies can get fussy in the middle of feedings and get frustrated by their limited mobility. We are well aware that when she is able to get some sort of crawl going we are in so much trouble.

The best part was what calms active babies. Warm baths! Emma is so calm and happy in her tub.. it's wonderful. She's getting a little too big for the sling though. Look at that belly!
