California Here We Come!
Last day at work... working from home tomorrow. Take a look at my out of the office board... I think only my mom will get the reference.

My Finger Is Naked
I'm sad. :( I had to give up my ring to a jeweler to be resized. Apparently, when you lose weight your fingers shrink and your ring can fall off. Amaaaaaaazing. I had to go a whole size down for it to not slip off my hand. Anyway, I've posted a video below that is a Tim Horton's commercial. Since coming to Canada, I find this extremely funny because it's too true. Poor quality but best I could do.

What's A Dugong?
I am working from home today. There was going to be some construction near my desk and I've just got too much to do. Working from home is okay... it has it's good points and bad points... Good - I can work uninterrupted and get a ton of stuff done. I don't have to change out of my pjs. Bad - I work a lot and don't ever feel like my day is officially over. It gets kind of boring around here. Today's bad point is that I leaned down to sit in a chair and my back twinged and I fell forward. Now it hurts to step to the side and take long strides. Not fun.
Two weeks left until our trip to California. I can't wait to see my mom, Erik (who reminded me that it took me 4 months to meet him but it was totally worth it... I didn't have to put up with him for those 4 months! =P), my sister, the live-in-person Coop Scoop... Murphy Dog... I think I am going to stop by the Amgen Thousand Oaks Campus for lunch with a few people. I don't miss my old job but I definitely miss the people.
So, what's a dugong you ask? (A few people have asked me this...) Ian and I are addicted to Planet Earth. I really suggest renting it. It's been the best animal series I've ever watched. I assumed it was going to be like every other animal series and be about animals killing each other... but it was more about the wildlife and habitats of the world. Anyway, a dugong is basically a seacow that goes around nomming on seagrass all day. Below is a video of one... I would suggest fast forwarding towards the end where this dugong has a couple of yellow fishy friends.

Wedding Dress Shopping
Yesterday I went wedding dress shopping. It wasn't a totally horrible experience like I was expecting. =P I was able to pick out a dress and order it. Although I am not going to post the pictures of each dress, I did take a few from outside the bridal shop. The store is in the older part of Cambridge... surrounded by a ton of old churches and bridges over the river.

So, I was a little bored today and I started browsing for shoes to wear under my dress... Take a look at these and let me know what you think...

Wedding Dress Shopping This Weekend!
I have my first appointment to start looking for a dress. The shop that I am going to says it takes about 3-4 months to get the dress in; this doesn't include getting altered. So, I thought it was probably best if I try to find a dress now and not have to worry about it.
Sometime in April, we will be going to Langdon Hall to confirm the wedding location.

Oh The Irony...
I'm having to work from home this morning because a semi truck has rolled over on the highway and closed it. The ironic thing is that there is a planned convoy from Cambridge to Toronto this morning to protest speed limiters on semi trucks.

Last Delivery
The last of our furniture has arrived. Well, sort of. We went the same day it was delivered back to the furniture company and put in an order for another end table. The room just needs a second one. Anyway, here it is...
I also got my safety and emissions test done on my car (it passed). While I was waiting I finally got the keys made for our house. This way I won't have to stop by Ian's work every time I'm home before he is. As I was standing by the key making machine, I noticed an aisle with vacuums and I decided to stroll down it. I picked up this little modern miracle...
It is so nice to not have to pull out the vacuum when there are crumbs on the floor. A broom just never seems to be able to pick up the stuff in the grout. It's a nice combination. The best part is... it was on clearance. Normally $45, marked down to $25. =D Yes, I'm easily amused.
