My Nephew - The Lion Tamer

Ian and I bought this for Cooper. It's a pillow that when velcroed turns into a complete lion. The lion clearly gets the best of him but as you will see in the last photo, he shows him who's boss.

Wow... Kind Of Awesome.

Moon Jar

I finally got a picture of the Moon Jar at night that I got Ian for his birthday. It's really bright in person.

SQUIRREL.

Ian and I really want to see this movie next weekend. I <3 Pixar.

Apartment Walkthrough {Update}

Here is the video that is an update to this post. I watched the old one and can't believe how much it's changed. We have furniture! No more cardboard box end tables and Samsung coffee table. Oh and this is my 500th post on this site. Just a note...

Feeding Our Geesies

On Saturday, Ian and I went down to the "pond" in front of building to feed a couple fresh bagels to our geesies and their babies. =]

There is also a robin that has built a nest for her eggs in the roof our parking garage.

Let's Get Coop "The Donald"

1928 Flyover

I read a site called Shorpy that posts interesting black and white photos. Today they posted this photo - "Graf Zeppelin over Capitol". Apparently it's a German Airship that visited Washington in 1928. Kinda freaky.

Our Geese! Geesies!

Ian spotted our geesies (that's what we call them.. usually followed by an exclamation mark!) on his way to work this morning. They had babies!! Ian said he felt like Austin Stevens. Lol.

Preview: New Apartment Walkthrough

This weekend I'm going to do another apartment walkthrough because it's changed so much. I was going to take a picture of the ""new" office but Ian stopped me and suggested the video. Instead, I took a picture of Ian's Zebra painting. Yes, he did this when he was little. =]

Wedding Plans: Rainboots {Update}

I went with the majority on this one... I received the J. Crew Rainboots and couldn't be happier with them! They are adorable and I think they will look cute and funny under my wedding dress. They even came with a cute bag for my 'wellies'. Love them!

Red Rover Red Rover...

...send the microchip carrying my name to Mars over. Erik sent me this and I decided to participate. Who knows... some Martian might see my name and decide to name their spawn after me. I do have an awesome name... =P

May Long Weekend

Ian and I have Monday off! It's Victoria Day (a.k.a. Poor Man's Memorial Day). =P We don't have any big plans. Switching banks... I despise CIBC... Heading to Costco because we go through chicken like nobody's business. I wore my hair curly today. Some girl at my work mentioned this product called {Curl Keeper}. You put it in your hair when it's wet and let it naturally dry. If you don't touch it or play with it all when it's drying it comes out great. My hair doesn't get frizzy and doesn't feel gross with the stuff in it. Pretty cool. Anyway, long weekend... people around here call it "May Long Weekend" like it's an official title... I don't know. Summer hours start next week (working from home in the morning and off in the afternoon different Fridays). Can't believe it's almost summer time... where have the past few months gone? About 8 months until the wedding. Wow.

No No No No. No.

{Seriously?} Are you Blind? Do you do your hair in the dark? I rarely would post about non-important stuff but honestly... what the hell is she thinking? No. No, no, no.

Honk HONK Honk HONK Honk

The geese are everywhere! Everyday on my drive home there are more geese motoring around the pond near our house. I even saw a little group of baby geese a couple days ago.

Snazzy New Case & Ian's Gifts

I wanted to show off my snazzy new case for my non-broken iPhone. It's blue and brown... yes I like that color combination.

This is one of Ian's birthday presents... It's a Plasma Night Light.. It's that thing that if you touch it a beam "connects" to your finger. It's actually really cool. Yes, we're that geeky.

This is a Moon Jar. It's solar powered and at night it glows blue. It's extreeeeemely bright and so awesome. Ian and I were very impressed last night. I'll try to get a shot of it when it's glowing.

Happy Birthday Ian - From Cooper!

The Post-It Note Project

Today is Ian's birthday. When Ian first came down from Canada to visit he left a Post-It note on my monitor that said I love you. Little did he know I left a note in his passport that said the same thing. So, one day last week I came into work early to upload some documents that take forever to upload... while they were going, I started doodling and thus was born "The Post-It Note Project".

Set #1 of 5 million.

His monitor was the first to get filled... He is on it every morning...

Next his closet... inside I picked out a few outfits for him.

Even the TV wasn't safe...

Eighteen different ways to say Happy Birthday!

This says "Oh so you are going to work eh? Well have a good day!"

In lieu of actual singing...

This is our story in Post-It form.

There are many others... I hope he finds them all~ I still need to cover his nightstand and the mirror in the bathroom. HAPPY BIRTHDAY IAN!

Wedding Plans: Rainboots

I'm going to wear some type of flats for the ceremony (which I haven't found yet). However, we are definitely going outside to take pictures. I need some type of foot protection so I've decided on these rainboots from J. Crew. If I wear them with some really thick warm socks my feet should be okay. Cute - yes? no?

Wedding Plans: Langdon Hall Visit {Update}

Today was our first visit to Langdon Hall. I can only say that Ian and I fell head over heels in love with the place. It is beyond perfect for our wedding. We will be booking it this week. I'm SO excited. This will be a really long post because I can't post just a few.

This is the sign leading into the lane up to Langdon Hall.

Under and alongside the lane ran a small creek that was fed from a large pond next to the property.

This is the front of Langdon Hall as Ian and I were walking up to it in the rain. I love my golf umbrella.

Now to the good stuff... This the room where the ceremony will take place. It is the "Private Conservatory to the Red Room". The windows look out onto the front lawn which is kept pristine in the winter time. They limit the traffic coming up to the front and I assume they take care of any black snow that might arise. It is going to be so beautiful.

This is the Red Room where we will hold the lunch following pictures and the ceremony. It has a fireplace and 2 large windows looking out on the front grounds as well.

These are some shots of the grounds behind the main building. Just gorgeous... especially after the rain.

I call this the Secret Garden door. If we can get to it... I think it would be a nice photo op.

This is the front lawn. Hopefully covered in snow for our wedding!

Tons of pretty flowers all over the grounds but they most likely will be covered in snow in January.

We're pretty happy about our location selection.
