Spring California Trip: A Little More Black And Blue

But a little less swollen!

Spring California Trip: Well Hello Again

We're back in Virginia!

Kitchen Adventures: Green Tea Salmon

Full Title: Green Tea Salmon with Coconut Rice and Miso Greens. This is a rave review. We are in love.

Ingredients: Salmon Fillets, Green Tea, Olive Oil, Light Coconut Milk, Basmati Rice, Lemon, Red Chili, Ginger Root, Miso Paste, Cilantro, Honey, Soy Sauce, Sugar Snap Peas, Broccolini, Asparagus, Lime
Everything about this meal was so delicious. Perfectly cooked and seasoned fresh Atlantic Salmon with the skin. Perfect Coconut Rice. Spicy greens lightly dressed in a Miso sauce. DROOL. The recipe has you turn the salmon skin into a potato chip-like thing. It is so, so good.. I'm running out of ways to describe the really good recipes we have done. This one is for the top of the list. 603 calories. YES YES YES.

Spring California Trip: No.

I wonder if they sell hot dogs on that plane....

Spring California Trip: Gladstone's For Breakfast!

Screw crappy fast food breakfast! We are having Gladstone's. :) Ian is a little tired...

But we both had lots of fun!

Spring California Trip: Lots Of Screaming

Yesterday was another beautiful but HOT day in California. We went to Eggs N' Things for breakfast and got taught a lesson by a $5 bill.

The title of this post is because we played a lot of Heads Up! Thankfully guessing is just as much fun as giving clues, so we all took turns. Of course, when Ian took the helm he got the highest score we've seen so far - 11.

Following this game we headed to the movies and saw "Now You See Me", the movie about magicians that rob banks. It was really good, a little funny and, despite what Ian and Mom think, could produce a sequel. After the movie, we went to a new gourmet burger place called Smash Burger. Definitely a hit with us. We came home and worked up a sweat playing more Heads Up! Seriously, the game is a workout - it's super stressful for both sides but loads of fun. I'm sure we will play more today but I'm starting to lose my voice! Dinner was at Cisco's.

We were a little speechless when we arrived. There was a party bus out front and tons of people inside and outside the bar. There were clowns, a penguin, mimes, Captain Jack Sparrow, Slutty Girl A & B, Aladdin, Drumming Monkey, Girl With Apple On Her Head And A Maid's Costume and The Flying Indian. It was super loud and the service was slow because of the influx. But it got better as the night went on and we enjoyed a lot of Chips & Salsa. :) We went home and played more Heads Up! We're a little addicted. :P

Spring California Trip: Just Another Night At Cisco's

...

Spring California Trip: Kelly's Wedding

Ian and I got all dressed up for Kelly's wedding. I think we looked pretty snazzy. :P

The ceremony and reception was held at the Malibou Lake Mountain Club. The Canada Geese followed us here apparently.

View of the lake from the lawn where the ceremony was held.

Fancy bride getting pictures taken.

The ceremony started with James walking up. It was mostly shaded over the chairs, which was since it was a bit warm in the sun.

Kelly has the cutest little niece.

And a very determined ring bearer.

Then came the Bride and Father of the Bride.

Back view of her dress. She had a really pretty veil.

Yay! They are married.

These were the centerpieces at the high bar tables following the ceremony. So pretty!

There were a lot of cute little things that added to the wedding.

There were chocolate strawberries. :)

And lots of dancing...

Even Ian danced. Gangnum Style and everything. It was great wedding! :)
